For the last 6km to the Hida observatory, you have to drive through a narrow, gravel road without a streetlight. Moreover, one of the sides is a cliff in some of the sections of the road, so that you need to drive slowly. If you have any anxiety about driving your own car on such a dark, gravel road, we recommend you to take the shuttle service which is described in detail below.

The shuttle service will be availabe only between the "Kamitakara Vil. Office" and the Hida Observatory.

   • Depart from Kamitakara Vil. Offce at 12:30, and 13:30
   • Depart from Hida Observatory at [not confirmed].
   • Riding time is about 30 minutes. (Depends on the trafic conditions).

   • Free for a ride.
   • Please make a reservation for the seat(s) by notifying us about your reservation with a mail.
