DST observations of the partial eclipse

The Domeless Solar Telescope (DST) has obtained the images of the partial eclipse. Can you see the small red circle in the middle of the image? That represents the size of the earth. Since the distance between the earth and the moon is much smaller than that between the earth and the sun, such big area can be shaded by the small (compared to the earth, the size of the moon is 1/3, while the size of the sun is 110 times larger) moon.
