Hi all,

Here is my first image of the new Jupiter apparition. Average seeing.

The most striking thing by far when seeing the planet for the first time this season is just how dramatically dark the northern section of the Equatorial Zone has become in B filter (giving rise to the strong orange colouration in this region) - its almost as dark as the North Equatorial Belt!

Dear all,

I am here submitting my last three observations of Mars for this apparition - the birch trees in our garden are now effectively preventing any imaging.

It has been a memorable apparition with 57 days of observations and 128 reduced images in color and with near-IR filters. I have never before observed Mars at this small diameter, 5.2", which is thanks to the larger aperture I have been using. There is room for improving the sharpness of the optics and hope to have better imaging quality during the next apparition.

With best wishes,

Hi ALL,

Attaching here are Mars IR images from this 10 April 2021 session under miserable seeing condition. Major albedo features are well described, while clouds, misty matters or NPC near the image periphery are unanalyzable with this quality of images.

HI,

Here are two more shots of Mars April 8-9, 2021at 23:49 UT and 0:20 UT, respectively.

Both images show Syrtis Major well. It seems Perseverance is enjoying a bright sunny day in the northern tip of Syrtis Major 😎.

Hi ALL,

Attached here is my Mars image from this 07 April session under rather poor seeing condition, almost nothing was visually discernable, managed to squeeze out some detail by processing.

Larger albedo features as Solis Lacus, Tithonius Lacus are well shown, while Tharsis huge volcanoes or NPC are

questionable.

¤¤••••• Subject: A Cluster of Clouds over Predawn Argyre Basin

Received: 3 April 2021 at 11:51 JST

Hi ALL,

An April Foolly striking cluster of tiny clouds was recorded over Martian predawn Argyre Basin by the VMC (Visual Monitoring Camera) onboard ESA's Mars Express satellite.

Some of the clouds seem to be colored like the terrestrial iridescent clouds.

Worth making animation?....because the series of the dayfs images show considerable change of the cloud cluster.
