¤••••• Subject: Jupiter on March 18th

Received: 1 April 2026, 02:15 JST

Hi all,

Mostly variable/average seeing for the session, with a brief improvement right toward the end when this was captured before it again worsened. A lot of time spent for only a brief period of decent conditions.

Oval BA is moving off at lower right. The array of SSTC white ovals at this longitude is nicely seen.

¤••••• Subject: Jupiter in IR and GRS rotation (March 21st)

Received: 25 March 2026, 08:47 JST

Hi all,

Here are some IR images we obtained on March 21st. These are with IR 642 filter.

An animation of the GRS internal rotation was produced which easily shows rotational movement over the 1h 41m period.

¤••••• Subject: Jupiter with GRS and Europa (March 21st)

Received: 23 March 2026, 11:03 JST

Hi all,

I joined Tom Williams at his home observatory for this session and we spent an enjoyable few hours observing and imaging Jupiter.

Variable conditions with some very good periods allowed some high quality images using Tom's large aperture 60cm Dobsonian.

We also enjoyed some wonderful views visually around this time. The colour in this image very closely matches what was seen visually. The GRS colour was strikingly vivid.

Europa is seen alongside showing surface markings which closely correspond to the WinJUPOS map for that time.

Best wishes,

Received: 20 March 2026, 23:00 JST

Hi all,

Here are a couple of transit events from this past week.

The first double event with Callisto and Io was in variable seeing but the Ganymede event last night had a period of excellent seeing for a short while around sunset.

Hi all,

Here are some Jupiter images from March. Some periods of excellent seeing on a couple of nights allowed detailed views. All obtained from my home site on the UK south coast.

I will be resuming image emailing again as i've had several requests to do so.

Hi all,

Jupiter and Oval BA on March 3rd. One occasion to monitor its current colour state.

Despite having being taken under poorer conditions, the UV image does detect a further darkening in comparison with B or B425, so yes, its inside ring is indeed a bit reddish.

Hi all,
Some Jupiter images after a very rainy winter :/

They show the STrZ anticyclonic ring. While bright in CH4, there is no excess of absorption in UV (in comparison with the SEB) and so it has not reached the red spot state.
Best wishes,
Christophe
