Hi all,

The recent spell of good sunrise conditions continued this morning.

Syrtis Major to the right with Hellas on the upper right limb.

Hesperia is at above centre, with Elysium at lower left.

Hi all,

Another morning of good conditions shortly after sunrise.

Syrtis Major to the right with Hellas on the upper right limb.

Hesperia is at upper left, with Elysium coming into view at lower left.

The bright feature in R at lower right (Coloe Pal region?) has been noticeable recently.

Possible structure becoming visible in the NP region?

Hi all,

I tried a later, sunrise, session this morning and was rewarded with some decent seeing, which unfortunately deteriorated during the session as I moved onto G’s and B’s.

Syrtis Major is to the right of centre with Boreosyrtis prominent at bottom.

Hellas shows as bright at upper right.

Hello Everyone,

Sending over most recent Mars images.

Today's image of Mars October 20 show's I dare say some "canals on Mars"  I know but it does look interesting

I tried three different stacking processes and they show up in every one of them.

Masami -

My first image of Mars since September 12 was taken on October 19, 2026, at 13:49 UT in daylight.

The viewing conditions were pretty good. At CM 64 degrees,

Mars appears normal with the North Polar Cap (NPC) visible and seemingly clear of the Hood.

Hi all,

Here are some images and movies from Oct 2-6th.

Some periods of superb seeing conditions at times - though frustratingly, fog and low cloud thwarted any attempts at Mars or Jupiter. Lots of spokes were observed over this period.

The one on Oct 4-5th was easily seen visually through the telescope.

Oct 2nd under poor seeing

Hi all, here's an image of Saturn from this morning in variable seeing.
The resolution was not quite good enough to reliably detect the long lived AV in Saturn's north but it can be seen faintly with a lot of
enhancement in this image.

Some faint spoke activity can be seen as well as some brighter features in the EZ, most notably just under the ring.
The animation shows a number of fainter features.

This is my last image until 11th November when I'll be back fro more.

Hi all,

Poor conditions on 30 September, and I stuck with R610LP captures.

I ran two sets to confirm details rotating with the planet.

The dark doughnut of Olympus Mons is moving from right of centre to centre, with a noticeable light streak to its left (Halex?)

Solis Lacus can be seen coming into view at upper left.

I note the light feature on the lower right limb, near Propontis

Hi all, here's an image of Saturn from last night in variable seeing.
There were some steady patches but also many periods of unstable conditions.

I've included an animation of all data collected that shows a prominent dark spoke on the right side of the ring, something which is quite unusual.

Once again I see that this spoke is following closely behind the large southern white oval that can be seen setting in the first few frames of the animation.

It would seem that you could almost predict the location of the southern white oval by just looking at the spoke activity at present.

The left side of the ring shows only very faint activity during the animation.

The colour image is quite low resolution but I've included it here to show the Seeliger effect making the ring much brighter than normal.

Hi all, here's an image of Saturn from last night in a period of reasonable seeing using a 685nm longpass filter.

15 images spanning 49 minutes were measured and combined in Winjupos.

Included is an animation showing the movement of spokes on the left of the ring.

The bright spot in the south is prominent once again.

Hi all, here's an image and animation of Saturn from last night.

Seeing was variable but sometimes quite ok. I used a 685nm longpass filter and captured many 90s runs over the space of more than 2 hours.

Rhea is the prominent moon at lower right with Titan visible at the lower left of the frame. Enceladus and Mimas can also be located but much fainter, and I also spotted Janus in some of the individual images,

however it is not included in the Winjupos derotation so it disappears as soon as you derotate and merge images.

Lots of dust/spoke activity can be seen on the left side of the ring, and also various cloud features on the disk including some EZ detail (probably best seen in the animation) and the large white southern spot rising at lower left.

Best regards
Anthony
