Gentlemen,

This was an interesting imaging session.  The sky was covered in a nearly homogenous layer of thin clouds.  For each color capture, I had to constantly re-adjust gain on the fly.  I tried to maintain the gain for a 60% to 70% histogram, making sure never to come close to saturation.  Turns out that the seeing was pretty good, but not great.  Olympus Mons is clearly visible now!

Hi Guys Here are a few from a con trail strewn sky on the 13th seeing was good for the altitude at 51 north.

The 09:53 ut and 09:59 ut images were double stacked. 10:37 ut was single stack. 90mm Coro.

A Red filter was used for the "white light" spot images with a wedge on a 5"AP .

Best wishes

Dear Friends and Colleagues,

After a very long wait, the image that the world has awaited is finally here!

It is our mosaic of the Saturn system, with our home planet, Earth, far in
the distance, taken on the day that the inhabitants of Earth smiled in
return.  It also reveals, at close inspection, a number of other surprises
-- both within the Saturn system and without -- that are sure to delight.

So, go to ...

... check out the updated Captain's Log and explore this universe of marvels for yourself.

Enjoy!

Hi Guys

Plenty of surface activity on the 4th. and there was enough blue sky to do both Ha and White light images. AR 1890 even laid on a flare show for me.

Hi Guys The sun is getting pretty low in the sky now from UK, but it was a busy surface on the 24th. I imaged a mosaic set of 1875, see 0941 image , then went for a drive over the sun , bumped into 1875 again at 1007ut and all hell had broken lose. It was still crackling away an hour later, see 1110ut image.  I then drove over to 1879/77.

 Hi all,

here some images taken under good seeing from my balcony in
Ludwigsburg Germany.

The last image was taken around sunrise. Unfortunately the sky was coverd by fog / cirrusclouds.

Cheers
