Dears,

Seeing was ok for that second night, offering a nice view of Saturn at the eyepiece, with the globe's shadow on the rings.
No details visible even by overprocessing the data, except for the hexagon.

Hi all,

Here are some images from May 10th. Sadly no colour result was possible due to the seeing. The GRS is well seen.

Dears,

First Saturn for this year, at 25° elevation (maximum for this apparition from Toulouse). Only the hexagon and his central vortex is slightly visible in this beginning of boreal summer over there, along with a few satellites, as usual:

¤·····Subject: Mars 21st May 2019

Received: 23 May 2019 at 07:15 JST

Never say never...

Managed to get another go at Mars yesterday evening at sunset, but with much poorer seeing than the last session on the 14th.

By combining the output of 4 videos in Winjupos and using the Astra Image deconvolution plug-in in PaintShop Pro I was able to pull out just enough details on the disc to make it worthwhile sending out. Really wanted to get Mars at sub 4" but just missed out- this size threshold passed just a few hrs later.

Hi,
Mars getting really difficult now due to the low altitude at sunset and some trees I have NW of me which mean I have just a short window in a bright twilight sky to image. Last Tuesday in hazy skies my careful protractor measurements and planning paid off, and with a good dose of luck, I picked up Mars in the eyepiece though it was invisible in my 60mm finder. Seeing was better than expected and half an hour of imaging yielded some details on a disk only slightly larger than that of Uranus at 4.0".

Image also visible here;

Cheers

Received: 16 May 2019 at 04:16 JST

 Hi All,

The recent high pressure system over the UK gave an opportunity to image Mercury again....maybe the last for a while as it now is quite near the Sun.

Once again, heat issues around the scope were a problem.

Very 'fluttery' conditions, but one or two very short moments of reasonable seeing.

All the best
