¤·····Subject: Jupiter image (June 9th)

Hi all,

Here is a near IR image from June 9th. Poor to fair seeing. Nothing since due to solid unbroken jetstream conditions over Chile (been very bad this winter.)

Hi all,

Here is an image from June 3rd. Poor seeing. The only result i obtained of the GRS interactions due to severe jetstream conditions over the observatory during the past several weeks.

Some red material is visible ahead of the GRS.

Hi all,

Jupiter in RGB/B/UV. Resolution is modest but these images are interesting as they show that the equatorial zone in UV is as dark as the NEB, which is a testimony of the strong coloration event since last year. You will note that this is not the case in blue light.

Best wishes

Dears,
Variable seeing that night, with good moments. So first the best images at 24° high, with GRS transiting leaving reddish material leftovers in the preceding part of the South Tropical jet. This is spectacular in methane absorption band, where this high altitude aterial and some around GRS itself is bright. Details on Ganymede (and Io are visible) :

Dears,

After Jupiter, Saturn under good seeing that night, at 25° elevation. Animations in infrared show five satellites movement, and in more processed images spots, at a subpolar (persistant since 2011), and in the equatorial zone.

Dears,

Good seeing at the beginning but with Jupiter at about 20° elevation only ...GRS is rising, with a red flake preceding it at SE, and the two bands of SEBs and STrB. Oval BA, not red anymore, is setting, with a small white spot south of it, and EZ is quite yellowish. There are dozens of small black spots in the north pole area.
Ganymede shows a bit of details.

Dears,

First Jupiter of a 3 nights series, with a very average seeing for a warm-up. EZ is quite yellow, and despite the bad resolution we can make out in SSTB A3, A2 and A1 with theelongated white feature between A2 and A1, and a bright oval in methane at CM in the Northern area.
