Mr and Mrs QUARRA with their boy Claudio visited Fukui on 2 September 2000. Mr and Mrs MINAMI welcomed them at the Fukui station and invited them as well as Mr NAKAJIMA and Mr NISHITA to dinner in a Chinese restaurant. They all then went to the Fukui City Observatory, and wanted to watch Saturn and Jupiter the night, but it was unfortunately cloudy. They enjoyed however a pleasant chat time inside the dome: Mr NISHITA had a conversation (through Mr NAKAJIMA's interpretation) with Mr QUARRA on a Maksutov-Gregorian telescope which Mr QUARRA is going to use.
On 3 September, the QUARRAs visited the Dinosaur Exhibition held in a City near Fukui, and then left Fukui to Kyoto.
