Letters to the Editor

From Tom CAVE in CMO #211

A warm wish for all the happiness that
Christmas and the New Year can bring
Very Best Wishes in the New Year
Tom and Vanessa Cave

My observing here in Long Beach has been poor due to fog---upper Mount Layer---but I have had some wonderful views of both Jupiter and Saturn.
3 1/2 months ago I had Open Heart Surgery (4 Bypass) and I never had a heart attack. A 1/2 months ago I had Cataract (left eye) surgery. So now my Telescope eye is perfect and perhaps I see Mars far better than during recent apparitions.
Due to almost our night fog after 1:00AM I may not be able to do regular Mars observing till Mid February.
Thank you for your wonderful Communication on Mars. Your folks are the only Group in the world sending most accurate Mars Material-- Many-Many Thanks.
