           ST9XE CCD Camera  Eyepiece Projection @ f/55.4

                       Integration Times: RRGB Images

 RED (RG610 Red Filter, 610-1100nm: NO IR Rejection)   0.15-0.22s 2-3  images

 GREEN (CFW8C, 531nm central; BWHM 86nm)   0.65-1.00s 7-9 images

 BLUE (CFW8C, 450nm central, BWHM 116nm)   2.50-3.00s 5-7 images

             Images bias,flat and dark corrected.

 

Seeing poor but variable (3-4 Pickering).  Transparency very poor (0-3 m0, constant cloud bands, haze.

Wind E 0-6 kts. Altitude = 47-48 degrees. No dew.

 

Seeing, Transparency very poor and variable. No Violet Clearing. Weak orographic cloud over Arsia Mons.

Delicate patchy clouds over Tharsis. Large, localized morning clouds over western Amazonis.

           Here are several Mars images from 27 Sept. Some increase in clouds with large anomalous dark feature in blue and green light centered near 10N, 165W.

           Rain continues: Time to sell scope and take up mushroom farming!

 GREEN (CFW8C, 531nm central; BWHM 86nm)   0..38-0.40s 5-9 images

 BLUE (CFW8C, 450nm central, BWHM 116nm)   1.40-1.50s 7-10 images

             Images bias,flat and dark corrected.

 

Seeing fair (6-7 Pickering).  Transparency  4m,  haze.

Wind SSE 1-6 kts. Altitude = 40-48 degrees. No dew.

 

Violet Clearing = 0 visually and on CCD images. Some SPC rifts detected.

Increase in clouds: Localized cloud over Tharsis, brightened as planet rotated.

Prominent AM cloud over Amazonis with finger-like streaks extending southeast into Memnonia.

NOTE: Large anomalous dark feature seen in blue and green light , centered near 10N, 165W.

 BLUE (CFW8C, 450nm central, BWHM 116nm)   1.40-2.50s 2-14 images

             Images bias,flat and dark corrected.

 

Poor conditions:

Seeing fair (4-6 Pickering).  Transparency variable and poor (0- 4m) dur to fast cumulus and stratus clouds.

Wind NNE 2-16 kts. Altitude = 44-48-33 degrees. No dew.

 

NP Hood conspicuous; thick clouds over Acidalium M. AM limb clouds. PM limb haze.

Anomalous dark features in blue light seen north of Solis Lacus and in eastern Memnonia.

 BLUE (CFW8C, 450nm central, BWHM 116nm)   1.30-1.90s 3-7 images

             Images bias,flat and dark corrected.

 

Poor conditions:

Seeing fair (4-6 Pickering).  Transparency variable (0- 4.5m) due to fast cumulus clouds.

Severe Wind ENE 5-21 kts. Altitude = 46-49 degrees. No dew.

 

Violet Clearing 0-1+ visually. Hellas very bright in blue and green light.

Details on the floor of Hellas seen in red light.

Delicate AM limb haze. Syrtis Blue Cloud on PM limb.
