Subject: Mars Image - change in Hellas?

 

Mars October 13, 2003 01:25UT  ToUcam with C-14 at f/28  2-degree wedge prism used to correct atmospheric dispersion.

Seeing = 5/10  Best 360 of 800 frames.

 

Please note localized brightening in Hellas with apparent cloud cutting across Mare Hadriacum near Euripus into Ausonia.

Seeing = 4/10  Transparency excellent

ToUcam-Pro, 380 frames of 900

 

Please note the presence of a rather prominent blue cloud over Syrtis even as local noon approaches, a phenomenon usually associated with aphelic apparitions.
