. . . I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude for calling attention to my
article Martian "flares" article that appeared in the May issue of
Sky &
Telescope. It is
very gratifying to have my work elicit flattering comments from such a
prestigious organization as the OAA.
I will
be joining Don Parker, Maurizio di Sciullo, Carlos Hernandez, Jeff Beish, and a
number of other eminent American Mars observers in the Florida Keys (latitude 42
degrees) from June 1 to 8 in the hope of capturing a glint at Edom Promontorium
