Hi All,

Here are some more Mars images from March (11 March & 13 March) -- sorry, I forgot to send them!

MARS IMAGES 11 MARCH, 2002

 

D.C. Parker, Coral Gables, FL.  Lynxx PC camera  16-in (41cm) F/6 NEWTONIAN

            Eyepiece Projection @ f/55

                        Integration Times:

    RED (RG610 - No IR Rejection)                     0.32s

                    Images flat and dark corrected.

       

Poor Conditions: Seeing  poor (3, Pickering). Transparency = 4.5m.

Wind NNE and gusty 5-12 kts. Altitude = 24 degrees. No dew.

 

Despite poor seeing, wind, and low altitude, the Daedalia-Claritas darkening

is apparent near CM.

                        Integration Times:

    BLUE (Koheisha, 445nm peak central; BWHM 105nm)   6.00s

    GREEN (Koheisha, 540nm peak central; BWHM 75nm)   2.20s

    RED (RG610 - No IR Rejection)                     0.52s

                    Images flat and dark corrected.

       

Seeing fair to poor (4-5, Pickering). Transparency = 4.5m. Wind S - SW and

gusty 0-11 kts. Altitude = 36-33 degrees. No dew.

 

Aurorae Sinus and Nectaris Palus dark and conspicuous; Solis Lacus very small.

Dark streak running from Western Solis L. to terminator (Daedalia-Claritas.)

Eastern Thaumasia light. Acidalium-Nilokeras noted on NE limb.
