LtE in CMO #257

From Frank J MELILLO

@. . . . . Subject: Jupiter 1-26-2002

Dear all- I have imaged Jupiter between 5:00 UT until 6:00 UT Jan. 26th. The seeing was alot worst than I thought. But the images are pretty decent.

You can see the BA oval with respect to the GRS. Unfortunately, I did not take any image with a methane absorption filter at 8900nm+/-10nm. The seeing wasn't good enough.

They will be posted at my website later tonight. I will inform you.

Dear Sherrod and all- Here are my first images of Jupiter since Jan. 26th. The seeing was average, and the GRS was out. The BA oval may be just south of GRS in 4:38 UT image. Also, I took one shot in methane light. Pretty decent but not great.
