Subject: Saturn, January 18th 2004

Hi all, here are some Saturn images taken under fair/fairly good seeing.

Note that they have been taken with the ATK-1HS B&W webcam (in RAW mode) and not with my B&W ToUcam. A white STrZ spot is visible at 97° (sys. III), I suppose it's the same that has been imaged through december 2003 near 70-80° ? It's visible on the second Red + IR image and on the two green images (especially the second). The UV image is the result of 150 frames taken with an exposure of 5 seconds each (13 nm, so no longitudes are indicated).

Best wishes

Subject: Venus, january 18th 2004

Hi all, here is my very first attempt at imaging Venus. The two UV images reveal the same faint dark markings (there are much artifacts nonetheless). And possibly, a dark band near the south pole (bottom) seems visible in infrared. Hopefully sharper images will be obtained with better seeing.

Best wishes
