Here are some Mars images from this evening. At last (finally) some reasonably decent seeing for a while preceding the "artic winds" forecast for tomorrow.

ATK-1HS CCD (RAW modified.)

 

 

Seeing generally fair (Pickering 4-6.)

Transparency excellent (5.5mag.)

 

Wind WNW (0-5mph.) No dew.

 

Eq Diam=6.80"

Altitude= 49 degs.

Here are some Mars images. The seeing was very poor.

9.25" (23.5 cm) Celestron SCT @ f/39.

 

ATK-1HS camera.

 

Green Light (+ IR rejection.): ~200 x 1/10th secs.

IR 700-1000nm: ~200 x 1/10th secs.

 

Seeing very poor (Pickering 2-3.)

Transparency excellent (5.5mag.)

No wind. No dew.

 

Eq Diam=6.39"

Altitude: 52 degs.
