LtE in CMO #273

From  Nicolas BIVER

®. . . . . . Subject: Latest observations of Mars

Dear Masami and Masatsugu,

I am still preparing the shipping of my ~ 12 drawings already done for the 2003 opposition of Mars... For now about a month, observing conditions significantly improved in France, weather-wise but also because of the higher position of Mars in the sky, better average seeing and larger apparent diameter. I join here my 2 most recent drawings, with South polar cap prominent with darker marking towards its center, North polar hood possibly visible at the edge of north limb,... (Looking quite similar to Eric NG's images a week earlier...)

I apologize for being so late in sending my reports, and thank you again for sending the CMO's.

Regards,

Dear Masatsugu,

Many thanks, and I am happy that you looked at my Mars-webpage and linked it from the CMO one. It is done for this purpose and do not hesitate to download drawings. If you have time to download them and do not need to receive them by E-mail as I just did - let me know.

Clear skies,
