Hi all,

Here (*) my last Mars image taken at 1500 m. altitude with excellent transparency and poor to good seeing. For the first time I followed all the night the Red noticing a large cloud (B channel) at sunset limb to disappear behind the disc. Seeing was variable and so I wasn't able to get a following RGB sequence for color image. Hope this helps any way.

(*) for Mars Observer list, please check CM 150-180 folder.

Very nice shots! You imaged the same large cloud at same longitude I did on May 25th! Now it seems dimmer and smaller. I guess if the dark line running close and parallel to the bright limb is a real feature or not.

Hi all,

Here attached my last Mars image taken with hard weather condition (poor seeing and quite haze sky). I guess if what can be seen in desertic northern hemisphere is noise or some real surface detail.

Dear all

Here my first raw attempt to make an LRGB image with Mars. Seeing was fair/good but transparency very low due to the heavy haze sky above horizon, so final result is suffering a lot of noise. Hope to improve ASAP...

Dear all,

Finally a good seeing morning happened...although a very strong haze yellow backlighted by Na lamps pollution disturbed a lot sky transparency! The whole Capricornus constellation was not visible (!) so I was forced to reduce the focal to prevent noise. On next time, I'll be back again with my KC381 video CCD.

Dear all,

Here another image close to my previous one taken on yesterday, June 4th. Both the 2 images together can confirm each other with details. Seeing was a bit poorer but transparency moved finally to fair/good.

Dear all,

Here an RRGB color image of Mars taken under fair/good seeing and transparency condition. Its constant low altitude above polluted and hazed horizon avoid me a correct color balancing. Notice the irregular shape of SPC, more evident in B channel: it looks like as divided into 2 lobes.

Dear all,

Here my latest Mars image under fair/good seeing and fair transparency. This morning I had the best opportunity to image it so far. But I'd like very much to fix the maddening red brightening limb problem, so any suggestion would be very appreciated!

Dear all,

Here my latest Mars image under fair/poor seeing and transparency. Due to some problem, G image has been made by R and B median, so colors are not so real.

Dear all,

Here my latest Mars image under poor seeing and fair transparency. In Hellas I seem to notice 4-5 small orange/yellow clouds (just faintly visible also in G image) placed at its inner board: is there someone for an eventual confirmation? If I'm not mistaken, Eric Ng should have been capturing something of similar, too.

Dear all,

Here my latest Mars image under good seeing and transparency. I just had one of the best oportunity to image Mars so far; it will be hard to hope with something better for my mid latitude location! :-(
