Conference on Percival LOWELL at Anamidzu in 2004

 

 

was successfully held from

2 May to 5 May 2004

at a Facility of the Kanazawa Institute of Technology, Anamidzu at the Noto Peninsula, Ishikawa Prefecture, Japan

The Conference was expedited by the  following

Programme :

 

1 May:

 

  CMO Members entered Anamidzu to prepare the Conference. (Asada, Akutsu, Sheehan, Murakami, Morita, Nakajima, Nishita, Minami photo)

 

 

 

 

2 May:

 

   Participants gathered by 14:25 JST at the Wakura Port (near the Japan Rail Wakura-Onsen Station), and at 14:30 started on board on a cruising boat to Anamidzu following the same sea-route as LOWELL took in May 1889.

Especially, Murakami put forward problems concerning Lowell to be discussed in a modern way.
