Wave/Turbulent Heating and Acceleration of Solar/Stellar Winds T. Suzuki We show results of numerical simulations for heating and acceleration of solar and stellar coronal plasma by MHD waves. Outgoing transverse waves generated from the surface dissipate to transfer their energy and momentum to the plasma. Main dissiptio processes are (i) Generation of compressive waves and subsequent shock formation (ii) Generation of ingoing transverse waves by reflection.
