Gianni QUARRA #210

Letters to the Editor

from Gianni QUARRA SACCO in CMO #210

@ . . . We are all fine and Claudio is growing fast and he is still speaking Japanese also after going to the Italian school for more than two months. We hope he will be a perfect bilingual and will keep on taking him to the Japan at least once a year. Sorry but I have not followed the Leonids at all, but I heard that the shower was not so special as many expected to be. The weather has turned very cold here too and recently temperature has dropped below zero all over the country.  . . . .
I did not know that Seibundo-Shinko-Sha collapsed, last time I met Takatsuki-san it was last summer at Tainai Star Party and in Tokyo. Temmon-Guide was still at the old place (Seibundo-Shinko-Sha building) so I imagined that they have moved only recently.

I have already received CMO 208, thank you very much. As you know at San Gersole, we have not worked at all during 1998 because telescope was out of service. I am including a sequence of Jupiter images acquired by a member of the UAI's Planet Section: Mr. Plinio Camaiti. He is my good friend and now doing a great work with his ccd. I think he will be glad to send you his observations during next Mars opposition.
If you like to contact him here is his personal e-mail address:

Thank you for the photo.
