@. . . . I just want to let you know that I am back in town and looking forward to catching Mars near opposition.We are all well, and we hope you are also. My long winded self should return after some rest. I plan to retire early tonight and try to observe early.

@. . . .Up early this morning, I have found again very poor seeing. In order not to completely waste the effort I am going to forward to you two pictures of the cherry trees in Washington, DC. A cousin of mine, Angela Phillips, who is a school teacher in Maryland took the photos. Perhaps you have heard of the beavers that have damaged some of the trees.
