Yukio MORITA's Martian Images
taken on 23 November 2002 (099゚Ls)

The sky is fair but seeing is 3/10 because the planet is still low (at around 6:40 JST just before Sunrise (21:40 GMT)).

The LCM is around 061゚W - 066゚W, and shows M Acidalium near the evening terminator. A southern dark marking is also shown. The morning Tharsis looks whitish.

The season is 099゚Ls and the central latitude is 22゚N.

The apparent diameter is still 4.0".

MORITA uses an f /7.7 Newtonian extended to f /50 having a 25 cm speculum equipped with an ST-5C (at -5゚C).
