2003 02 20 Mo Note
Martian Images taken on 20 February 2003 ( λ=140゚Ls) by Yukio MORITA.

Seeing was so poor: 2-3 /10, that the images look unstable. Syrtis Mj was shot dark during one hour, but Hellas was not clear in B and G. The Aetheria dark patch was seen as well as Utopia.

The apparent diameter δ is 5.8".

Use is made of an f /7.7 Newtonian extended to f /50 having a 25 cm speculum equipped with an ST-5C (at -5゚C).

Image data are
22 IR images each exposed with 0.1 secs
10 R + IR Rejection images each with 0.2 secs
11 G + IR Rejection images each with 0.3 secs
10 B + IR Rejection images each with 0.5 secs

Filters are the Koh-ei-sha RGB filters of Type 3.
