Seeing 8 out of 10. Cold, but not freezing. Light wind. Cold front with
rain moved through today.
Only 9 arcseconds! Amazing that any markings
are visible, but they are, with some detail. Two brighter areas - view
is too dim in this scope to use a filter. The one near the center could
be dust in Hellas, or it Hellas could just be bright. Rare early evening
observation since the kids are in bed early awaiting St Nick.
