Dear Masatsugu,

during Opposition we had 1280 Visitors at the observatory and we were very busy in public guiding at the Telescopes. After the last visitor went away, I could take some pictures. Now it is raining and I processed them all. Here are the first results...

λ=247Ls (ω= 14W, 19W, 24W, 28W, 33W, φ = 19S) δ = 25", ι= 7

Dear Masatsugu,

on 28.8.2003 I could take this picture:

λ=249Ls (ω= 333W, φ = 19S) δ = 25,10", ι= 4,9

Dear Masatsugu,

tonight I also was successful...

λ=252Ls (ω= 295W, 299W, 304W, 309W φ = 19S) δ = 25,0", ι= 5,6

it is dramatically, how strong the SPC melts away. I never realised, that it goes so fast!!! Is the structure in Hellas (the "cross") real? or did I processed/filter too strong?

best wishes
