  CMO No 257 contains:

1.            CMO 2001 Mars Report #20 deals with the observations made during the period from 16 January 2001 (310Ls) to 15 February 2002 (327Ls) based on the reports from ISHADOH, KUMAMORI, MELILLO (USA), MINAMI, MOORE (USA), MORITA, MURAKAMI, Don PARKER (USA), PEACH (UK), and TSUNEMACHI. Don PARKER is still active, and produced 10 sets of ccd images on 18, 21, 25, 28 January; 2 and 3 February. His Birthday Shots on 28 Jan as well as on 2 & 3 Feb show well the recovering Solis L and the following new dark band at Daedalia. Damian PEACH now enjoys Mars at a higher altitude.

2.          2001 Mars CMO Note (3) deals with the doubled dust streaks observed around the area of Solis L on 6 and 7 July 2001 and later. The configuration was reminiscent of that seen on 16 October 1973, though the season was quite different.

4.          Forthcoming 2001 Mars (15) records the Ephemeris for the physical observations of Mars from 1 March 2002 to 2 May 2002, just when the apparent diameter will be down to 4.0 secs of arc.

5.          Ten Years Ago (#78) given by MURAKAMI (in Japanese) reviews CMO #114 published on 25 February 1992 where the final stage of the spc in 1990 was dealt with.

6.          A Visit to the Antares Institute #16 written by TSUNEMACHI (in Japanese) is concerned with Lunnatia marmorata in connection with the Silk Road..
