Dear Masatsugu,

Thank you for sharing your communication with me. I have not given up observing. Last week I was out of town and without a telescope. This week, so far, has been rainy, and observation has been impossible.

My official retirement date is August 1. Although I will still work after that, I should work less and have more time and energy for observing Mars.

John Barnette and Randy Tatum are said to have observed Mars recently, and I expect that they will send you some observations.

Your CMO Gallery has been very enjoyable and instructive. I have pointed it out to numerous individuals who have been quite impressed to see so many fine images of Mars.

I am sorry about the return of your hematuria and hope you will take good care of yourself.

Sincerely,
