During the total lunar eclipse

An "eclipse" begings when the Moon is shaded by the Earth, and ends when it reappears out of the earth's shadow. The image shows the Moon for 50 minutes until just befor the end of the total eclipse, which lasted a little less than 2 hours. Immediately after this, the moon's surface appeared bright again starting from the lower left. Owning to the sunlight which is refracted by the Earth's atomosphere, we can see the moon slightly illuminated, even during the total eclipse. The colour of the moon, during total eclipse, becomes reddish due to the same mechanism as evening sunset.$B!!(BFurthermore, the lunar brightress changes depending on the positional relationship between the moon, the earth and the sun.
